Series about the history of British TV police dramas now reaches the early 80s, where the idea for a proper police drama series with a female lead came to fruition with, what turned out to be a ratings smash hit, Juliet Bravo.


The cast and crew of Juliet Bravo talk about the gender politics both on-screen and off; how many of the stories were rooted in reality. Interviewees include creator Ian Kennedy Martin, Stephanie Turner Anna Carteret, producer Terence Williams and Wynne Darwin, the real-life inspiration for the series.
